We have created the architectural concept of the new branch network ČSOB bank, which will be applied throughout the Czech Republic in the next years. We got a task to create modern space with strong corporate ČSOB brand presence.  A space where you feel comfortable, relaxed and with a human feel. This space is designed in the spirit of a significant difference from the typical bank interiors across the banking institutions. Creative concept is based on the presence of natural materials and organic forms derived from nature. By using natural materials, wooden columns and walls, woven flooring, organically shaped furniture elements of the space we bring to the client atmosphere of no pressure, relaxation and inspiration. Interior color works with natural beige and cream wood color, accompanied by color of corporate brand. Oak walls are covered with creamy lazur with retained wood pores. Wooden furniture and lights are designed in a natural golden oak color. On the floor there is woven flooring. Space is organically shaped with linear vertical walls and columns using ruled surface. These lines are made of small wooden balks/slats 20x50mm and their direction of rotation indicates the dynamic of space. Balk of 20x50mm was the answer to our question how to solve, in relatively simple and economically accessible way, surface of wall coverings. Bank branch is arranged in a way that the customer can move in the space completely independently. Lamellar wooden wall that divided the space creates a natural navigation and client is guided intuitively. We offer our customers five specialized zones, situated in the area of the branch in chronological order from the entrance. Shaping the furniture and arrangement of the individual zones banker is there at hand, but also due to the optical lamellar fans and ribbons clients still have their privacy. For this interior we designed original furniture which is mostly organically shaped. We decided to apply white design to create a lightweight feel and achieve the illusion that the furniture is made from paper. The interior uses wooden light ARBO that IO Studio designed for HALLA in 2013.
